Daily Bible Reading

In 2020, Cypress Chapel will focus its attention on the six chief principle parts of our Christian Faith: the 10 Commandments, Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, Baptism, Confession & Forgiveness, and the Lord's Supper. For some, this will be the first time in a long time that they have thought about these elements of our faith.

In January and February, we introduced the book, Getting to Know Jesus by Paul Schult. 'Getting to Know Jesus' connects the dots between knowing the right Bible answers and having a real relationship with Jesus Christ. The six core teachings in Martin Luther's Small Catechism summarize the most critical truths of the Bible. However, the heart of the Bible is not just to know the right answers; it is to know Jesus.

Beginning in March, we will take a few weeks on each of the chief principle parts, to help expound on our knowledge and understanding of each teaching. For those who are newer to Christianity, these worship series will help to take the time to find out where each is found in the Bible and how it impacts us today.

In addition to following the plan below, for those who would like to have a more in-depth reading each day, the CC Daily Bible Reading Plan (through the Cypress Chapel App) will also include daily selections from the New Testament and the book of Psalms.
